This communication satellite has dimensions of 0.2 meters in length, 2.8 meters in diameter, and spans 9 meters when fully extended. It weighs approximately 260 kg at launch with a dry mass of 248 kg. Equipped with Ku/Ka-band payload capabilities and optical inter-satellite links on prototypes, it uses solar arrays and batteries for power supply. The satellite employs Krypton ion thrusters for propulsion and has a box plus panel shape design. Manufactured by SpaceX (SPXS), its primary purpose is to provide communication services as part of the Starlink constellation network.
