O3B FM18 is a communication satellite, part of the O3b constellation, manufactured by THALR and owned by O3BS. It was launched on April 4, 2019, from the Guiana Space Centre using a Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 2 meters in diameter, and spans up to 12 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. Its dry mass is 500 kg, and it had a launch mass of 700 kg. Equipped with 12 Ka-Band transponders for communication purposes, the satellite also features 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Utilizing an LS-400 AOCS motor system, O3B FM18 has been operational since its launch date and is expected to have a service life of up to 10 years.
