O3B FM17 is a communication satellite operated by O3BS and manufactured by THALR under the BUS type Prisma with the configuration ELiTeBus-1000. Launched on April 4, 2019, from the Guiana Space Centre using a Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle, it has a dry mass of 500 kilograms and a launch mass of 700 kilograms. The satellite measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 2 meters and spans up to 12 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. Equipped with 12 Ka-band transponders for communication purposes, it is powered by two deployable solar arrays along with batteries. Its mission is expected to last for 10 years.
