IRIDIUM 132, also known as Iridium Next SV132, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite manufactured by OATKGA for IRIDS (Iridium LLC). Launched on October 9, 2017, from the AFWTR launch site using a Falcon 9 vehicle from SLC4E pad, it has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 9.4 meters with its solar arrays deployed. The satellite weighs 860 kg at launch and carries various payloads including an L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver (part of a fleet of 58 satellites). It is designed to operate for 10 years but has a planned lifetime of up to 15 years. Its shape is described as a Half Hex Prism with two panels, powered by deployable solar arrays and batteries.
