SES-15 is a communication satellite with the NORAD catalog ID 42709 and object identifier 2017-026A. It uses the BSS-702SP bus configuration, manufactured by BOES for SESSL (SES S.A.). Launched on May 18, 2017, from Guiana Space Center using a Soyuz-ST-A launch vehicle, SES-15 has dimensions of 6 meters in length, 2 meters in diameter, and spans 40 meters. Its dry mass is 2000 kg with a launch mass of 2302 kg. The satellites equipment includes Ka- and Ku-band transponders along with a WAAS payload.
