Launched on January 14, 2017, from AFWTR using SLC4E with the launch vehicle Falcon 9, this satellite is part of a US project for communication and traffic monitoring purposes. It measures 3.1 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 9.4 meters. The dry mass of IRIDIUM 104 is 700 kg, while the launch mass was 860 kg.
