O3B FM12 is a communication satellite launched by O3B Networks on December 18, 2014, from the Guiana Space Centre using a Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 4 meters in length and has a diameter of 2 meters with a span of 12 meters when fully deployed. It is equipped with 12 Ka-band transponders for communication purposes and features two deployable solar arrays along with batteries for power generation. O3B FM12 has a dry mass of 500 kilograms and was launched at a mass of 700 kilograms. The satellite utilizes the LS-400 AOCS motor system for attitude control, with a designed lifetime of 10 years. It is manufactured by Thales Alenia Space (THALR) under the Prisma bus configuration and operates in a box trap+2 pan shape with an RCS value of 7.8074. The satellites primary mission is to provide communication services as part of O3B Networks constellation.
