The BEIDOU-2 IGSO-5 satellite, also known as Beidou DW 10, is a navigation satellite operated by CNSA (China National Space Administration). Launched on December 1, 2011, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center using a Chang Zheng 3A launch vehicle, it has a dry mass of 1300 kg and a launch mass of 2300 kg. The satellite is equipped with a DFH-3 bus configuration and uses two deployable solar arrays for power generation. It measures approximately 3 meters in length, 1.7 meters in diameter, and spans 18 meters when its components are fully deployed. Its mission focuses on navigation purposes as part of the Beidou-2 constellation and is expected to have an operational lifetime of 8 years. The satellites shape is described as a box with two panels, and it was manufactured by CAST (China Academy of Space Technology).
