COSMOS 2475 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2477, is a navigation satellite launched on November 4, 2011, from the Tyuratam Space Center (TYMSC) using a Proton-M/Briz-M launch vehicle. It operates with a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus and has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 7.8 meters. The satellite weighs 1200 kilograms dry and had a launch mass of 1450 kilograms. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power, it is part of the GLONASS navigation system owned by KVR/IACG and manufactured by RESH. The missions purpose is to provide global navigation services with an expected lifetime of seven years.
