GLOBALSTAR M088, also known as Globalstar M088, is a communication satellite with the OBJECT_ID 2011-033B. It was launched on July 13, 2011, from the TYMSC launch site using Soyuz-2-1A from Launch Pad LC31. The satellite measures 4 meters in length and has a diameter of 2 meters with a span of 12 meters. Its configuration is based on the ELiTeBus-1000 BUS by manufacturer THALR, designed for communication purposes.
GLOBALSTAR M088 carries a payload named Globalstar-2 FM8 and is equipped with 16 C-to-S-band transponders and 16 L-to-C-band transponders. The satellites power system consists of two deployable solar arrays providing an initial output of 2.4 kW, which reduces to 1.7 kW at the end of life (EOL), supported by onboard batteries. It has a dry mass of 500 kg and a launch mass of 715 kg.
The satellite is stabilized using LS-400 AOCS motor and has a shape described as Trap Cyl + 2 Pan with an RCS of 5.0376. The missions expected lifetime is 15 years, and it is owned by GLOBL.
