COSMOS 2465 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2465, is a Russian satellite launched on September 2, 2010, from the Tyuratam Space Center (TYMSC) using Proton-M/DM-2 launch vehicle. It measures 4 meters in length and has a diameter of 1.5 meters with a span of 7.8 meters due to its solar arrays. The satellite operates on a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus, weighs 1,450 kilograms at launch, and has a dry mass of 1,200 kilograms. Its mission is for navigation purposes as part of the GLONASS system. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries, it was manufactured by RESH and owned by KVR/IACG. The satellites expected lifetime is 7 years.
