COSMOS 2458 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2458, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on December 14, 2009, from the Tyuratam Space Center using the Proton-M/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft uses a Uragan bus with a configuration of a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus and has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and 7.8 meters in span. It weighs 1450 kilograms at launch with a dry mass of 1200 kilograms. The satellite is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its mission is navigation and it has an expected lifetime of seven years. Manufactured by RESH, COSMOS 2458 is owned by KVR/IACG and serves as part of the GLONASS constellation.
