The COSMOS 2449 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2449, is a navigation satellite launched on December 25, 2008, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-M/DM-2 vehicle. It uses a Uragan-M bus with a 3-axis stabilized configuration and has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 7.8 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. The satellite has a launch mass of 1450 kg and a dry mass of 1200 kg. Its power is generated by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Manufactured by RESH for the KVR/IACG, it operates as part of the GLONASS navigation system with an expected lifetime of 7 years.
