The spacecraft measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and has a span of 7.8 meters due to its deployable solar arrays. It operates on a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus design, manufactured by RESH for the Russian Federation (RU). With a dry mass of 1200 kg and a launch mass of 1450 kg, COSMOS 2444 serves as part of the GLONASS navigation constellation.
