The COSMOS 2417 [GLONASS] satellite, also known as Kosmos-2418, was launched on December 25, 2005, from the TYMSC launch site using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It is part of the Uragan series with a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus configuration and serves navigation purposes for KVR/IACG. The satellite measures 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and has a span of 7.8 meters. Its dry mass is 1200 kilograms, while the launch mass was 1450 kilograms. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation, COSMOS 2417 [GLONASS] features an Uragan-M No. 13L payload manufactured by NPOPMR.
