GALAXY 14 (also known as Galaxy 14) is a communication satellite with the OBJECT_ID 2005-030A and NORAD_CAT_ID 28790, launched on August 13, 2005, from the TYMSC launch site using Soyuz-FG as the launch vehicle. It has dimensions of 3.3 meters in length, 1.9 meters in diameter, and a span of 12.6 meters, operating with a dry mass of 850 kg and a launch mass of 2087 kg. The satellite is equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays for power generation along with batteries and carries 20-24 C-band transponders as its payload equipment. It was manufactured by OSCD (Orbital Sciences Corporation) using the Star-2 Bus configuration and is owned by PAN. Its mission spans a planned lifetime of 15 years.
