COSMOS 2404 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2402, is a navigation satellite launched on December 10, 2003, from the Tyuratam Space Centers LC81/24 launch pad using a Proton-K/Briz-M launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 4 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter with a span of 7.8 meters. It was manufactured by POL (Russian Space Systems) and operated under the ownership of KVR/IACG. With a dry mass of 1,200 kilograms and a launch mass of 1,415 kilograms, it is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries to power its operations. The satellite has a mission lifetime of approximately three years and carries the Uragan No. 94L payload for navigation purposes. Its shape consists of a cylindrical body with antennas and panels. The satellite was launched as part of Russias GLONASS-M constellation for providing precise navigation services.
