ORBCOMM FM14, also known as Orbcomm B2, is a Microstar satellite manufactured by OSCG for communication M2M/IoT purposes and launched on August 2, 1998, from ERAS Launch Site using the Pegasus XL/HAPS launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 0.2 meters in length, has a diameter of 1 meter, and spans 4.3 meters with its solar arrays deployed. It had a launch mass and dry mass both equal to 42 kilograms. Its primary equipment includes an Orbcomm payload powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellites shape is cylindrical with two panels and antennas attached. ORBCOMM FM14 was owned by ORBC and was designed for a four-year lifetime in its mission.
