ORBCOMM FM03, also known as Orbcomm G1, is a communication satellite (M2M/IoT) manufactured by OSCG and owned by ORBC. Launched on February 10, 1998, from AFWTR launch pad 576E using the Taurus 2210 launch vehicle, this MicroStar configuration satellite has dimensions of 0.2 meters in length, 1 meter in diameter, and a span of 4.3 meters. It had a launch mass and dry mass of 42 kilograms each. The satellites payload included an Orbcomm FM3 communication module and was powered by two deployable solar arrays along with batteries. Its shape is described as cylindrical with two panels and antennas, and it operated for four years in its mission.
