ORBCOMM FM11, also known as Orbcomm A7, is a communication satellite designed for M2M/IoT purposes launched by OSCG on December 23, 1997, from the ERAS launch site using Pegasus XL/HAPS as the launch vehicle. With a configuration of MicroStar and dimensions including a length of 0.2 meters, diameter of 1 meter, and span of 4.3 meters, it has a dry mass of 42 kilograms and carries an Orbcomm payload. The satellite is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries and was intended to operate for approximately four years. It features a cylindrical shape with two panels and antennas and has a radar cross-section (RCS) value of 0.7617 square meters. Owned by ORBC, the primary mission of this satellite is to facilitate communication services in the M2M/IoT sector.
