ORBCOMM FM10, also known as Orbcomm A6, is a communication satellite operated by ORBC for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) purposes. Launched on December 23, 1997, from the Eastern Range Air Station using a Pegasus XL/HAPS launch vehicle, it has a configuration known as MicroStar with dimensions including a length of 0.2 meters, diameter of 1 meter, and span of 4.3 meters. The satellite features two deployable solar arrays along with batteries for power supply and carries an Orbcomm payload. It weighs 42 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. Manufactured by OSCG, ORBCOMM FM10s mission life is estimated to be around four years.
