MOLNIYA 1-90, also known as Molniya-1T, is a communication satellite with the OBJECT_ID 1997-054A and NORAD_CAT_ID 24960. It was launched on September 24, 1997, from the PLMSC site at LC43/3 using the Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. The satellite is configured as a KAUR-2 bus with dimensions of 4.4 meters in length, 1.4 meters in diameter, and has a span of 8.6 meters. It has a dry mass of 1,620 kg and was manufactured by NPOPMR for VKSR (Russian Space Forces). The satellites primary purpose is communication, equipped with six deployable solar arrays and batteries as its power source. Its shape consists of a cylinder plus six panels and it has an RCS (Reaction Control System) of 12.6191. The MOLNIYA 1-90 was designed for a three-year operational lifetime in space.
