Launched on July 23, 1997, from LC17A at AFETR using a Delta 7925 launch vehicle, this satellite has a box shape with two panels, measuring 1.5 meters in length, 1.9 meters in diameter, and spans 19.3 meters when fully extended. It carries the GPS SVN 43 payload for navigation purposes and was equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries to power its systems. The satellite has a dry mass of 910 kilograms and had an initial launch mass of 1077 kilograms, expected to operate for approximately ten years. Its shape contributes to a radar cross-section (RCS) of 3.1622 square meters.
