The COSMOS 2318 [GLONASS] satellite, also known as Kosmos-2318, is a navigation satellite manufactured by POL and launched on July 24, 1995, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It has a configuration of 3-axis stabilized and belongs to the Uragan bus series with a length of 4 meters, diameter of 1.5 meters, span of 7.8 meters, and a dry mass of 1200 kg. The satellites launch mass was 1300 kg and it was owned by VKS/IACG for navigation purposes. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries, its shape is described as cylindrical with antennas and two panels. Its RCS (Reflectivity Cross Section) value is 3.4801. The satellite carried the Uragan No. 85L payload and was designed to operate for a lifetime of approximately three years.
