COSMOS 2308 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-2308, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on March 7, 1995, from the TYMSC launch site using LC200/39 and the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and has a span of 7.8 meters. The satellite is equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power, and it weighs 1200 kg dry with a launch mass of 1300 kg. It features a 3-axis stabilized configuration and is part of the Uragan series manufactured by POL for VKS (Russian Aerospace Forces). Its primary mission is navigation support within the GLONASS system. The satellite has an operational lifetime of approximately 3 years.
