The COSMOS 2294 [GLONASS] satellite, also known as Kosmos-2296, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on November 20, 1994, from the TYSMC LC200/39 launch pad using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It has a configuration of 3-Axis stabilized and is equipped with Uragan No. 64L as its payload for navigation purposes. The satellite measures approximately 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 7.8 meters, with a dry mass of 1200 kg and a launch mass of 1300 kg. Its power supply comes from two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The spacecraft is owned by VKS (Russian Aerospace Forces) and was manufactured by POL (Polyot Research Production Enterprise). It has an expected lifetime of 3 years.
