The COSMOS 2295 [GLONASS] satellite, also known as Kosmos-2294, is a navigation satellite launched on November 20, 1994, from the Tyuratam Space Center (TYMSC) launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The satellite has a configuration of 3-Axis stabilized and measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and a span of 7.8 meters. It was manufactured by POL for the Russian military (VKS) and carries the Uragan No. 62L payload, which is part of the GLONASS navigation system. The spacecraft has a launch mass of 1300 kg and a dry mass of 1200 kg, powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its expected lifetime was three years.
