The COSMOS 2277 [GLONASS] satellite, also known as Kosmos-2276, is a navigation satellite launched on April 11, 1994, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 7.8 meters with its deployed elements. The satellite weighs approximately 1300 kg at launch and has a dry mass of 1200 kg. Equipped with a 3-Axis stabilized configuration and powered by two deployable solar arrays along with batteries, COSMOS 2277 supports the Uragan No. 60L payload for navigation purposes. It was manufactured by POL (Research-and-Production Enterprise Polyot) and owned by VKS (Russian Space Forces). The satellite has a projected lifetime of 3 years and is part of Russias GLONASS constellation, designed to provide navigation services.
