COSMOS 2206 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-2204, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on July 30, 1992, from the Tyuratam Site (TYMSC) Launch Pad LC81/23 using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft is part of the Uragan series and features a 3-Axis stabilized configuration with a cylindrical body plus antennas and two panels. It measures 4 meters in length, has a diameter of 1.5 meters, and spans 7.8 meters. With a dry mass of 1200 kg and a launch mass of 1300 kg, it was manufactured by POL for the VVSR (Russian Space Forces). The satellites power system consists of two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its primary mission is navigation with an expected lifetime of 3 years.
