The spacecraft, which weighs 1300 kg at launch and has dimensions of 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and span of 7.8 meters, is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its mission is navigation, and it was part of the Uragan series. The satellite operates on a 3-axis stabilized platform and has a shape described as cylindrical with antennas and two panels. Launched by VVS (Russian Air Force), it was manufactured by POL (Production Enterprise of Precision Instruments) and had a planned lifetime of 3 years, stabilizing its orbit the day after launch.
