COSMOS 2177 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-2177, is a Russian satellite manufactured by POL and launched on January 29, 1992, from the TYSMC launch site using a Proton-K/DM-2 vehicle. It was configured with a 3-axis stabilization system for navigation purposes and has a length of 4 meters, diameter of 1.5 meters, and span of 7.8 meters. The satellites dry mass is 1200 kg, while its launch mass was 1300 kg. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries, it served the VVS (Russian Air Force) as part of the GLONASS constellation for navigation purposes. The payload included Uragan No. 68L. The satellite operated for approximately three years from its launch date.
