COSMOS 2080 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-2080, is a navigation satellite launched on May 19, 1990, from the TYMSC launch site using LC200/40 and the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has a 3-Axis stabilized configuration, measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and a span of 7.8 meters, and had a dry mass of 1200 kg at launch. It was manufactured by POL for the SU (Soviet Union) and is part of the GLONASS constellation as Uragan No. 51L. The satellites power supply consists of two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape is described as Cyl + Ant + 2 Pan with a radar cross-section (RCS) of 1.5128 square meters. The missions primary purpose was navigation, and it had an expected lifetime of 3 years.
