COSMOS 2022 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-2022, is a navigation satellite launched on May 31, 1989, from the Tsemelnyi Missile and Space Complex using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 7.8 meters when deployed. It features a dry mass of 1200 kilograms and was launched with a total mass of 1300 kilograms. Equipped with deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation, the satellite has a mission lifetime of 3 years. Its main payload is the Uragan No. 28L navigation system, designed to provide navigation services. The spacecraft, manufactured by OAZ, uses 3-axis stabilization technology and was operated under unknown ownership.
