COSMOS 1917-1919, also known as Kosmos-1919, is a navigation satellite based on the Uragan bus and launched on February 17, 1988, from Launch Pad LC200/39 at the TYSMC site. It utilized a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 7.8 meters. With a dry mass of 1200 kg and a launch mass of 1300 kg, it was designed to operate for approximately three years. It features two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. The satellites configuration is described as 3-axis stabilized with a shape characterized by a cylinder plus antennas and two panels. Manufactured by OAZ, it carries the Uragan No. 38L payload and was owned by an unspecified entity at launch (UNKS).
