COSMOS 1885 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1885, is a satellite that was launched on September 16, 1987, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It has an object identifier of 1987-079C and belongs to the Uragan bus configuration. The satellite weighs 1300 kg at launch with a dry mass of 1200 kg, measures 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and has a span of 7.8 meters. It is equipped for navigation purposes with two deployable solar arrays and batteries as its power source. The satellite was manufactured by OAZ and operated for approximately three years after being launched into space.
