COSMOS 1838 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1838, is a navigation satellite launched on April 24, 1987, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has a length of 4 meters and a diameter of 1.5 meters with a span of 7.8 meters. It was equipped with two deployable solar arrays for power generation, had a dry mass of 1200 kilograms, and weighed 1300 kilograms at launch. Its configuration is 3-axis stabilized, and it carries the Uragan No. 30L payload. The satellites mission lasted approximately three years, and its shape consists of a cylinder with antennas and two panels. It was manufactured by OAZ and operates for navigation purposes under unknown ownership (UNKS).
