COSMOS 1711 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1711, is a navigation satellite belonging to the Uragan series launched by the Soviet Union on December 24, 1985, from TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 vehicle. The spacecraft, manufactured by OAZ, has a dry mass of 1,200 kg and a launch mass of 1,300 kg, with dimensions measuring 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spanning 7.8 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power, the satellite operates on a 3-axis stabilized platform and is equipped with the Uragan No. 23L payload. It was owned by GUKOS and had an operational lifetime of approximately three years from its stable date on December 25, 1985.
