COSMOS 1710 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1710, is a navigation satellite launched by the Soviet Union on December 24, 1985, from the TYMSC launch site using a Proton-K/DM-2 vehicle. The satellite, manufactured by OAZ, has dimensions of 4 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter with a span of 7.8 meters, weighing 1300 kilograms at launch and 1200 kilograms dry mass. It is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. The satellites configuration is described as 3-axis stabilized with a shape characterized by a cylinder, antennas, and two panels. Its mission was to provide navigation services as part of the Uragan series, specifically Uragan No. 22L. It achieved operational stability on December 25, 1985, and had an expected lifetime of three years. The satellites owner is GUKOS.
