COSMOS 1651 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1651, is a navigation satellite launched on May 17, 1985, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has a length of 4 meters, a diameter of 1.5 meters, and a span of 7.8 meters with solar arrays deployed. It weighs 1300 kg at launch and has a dry mass of 1200 kg. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply, the satellite is based on the Uragan bus model and uses a 3-axis stabilization system. The mission was operated by GUKOS and manufactured by OAZ, serving as part of the GLONASS navigation constellation. It had an expected operational lifetime of 3 years after reaching a stable orbit on May 18, 1985.
