COSMOS 1594 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1594, is a navigation satellite launched on September 4, 1984, from the Tyuratam Space Center (TYMSC) using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It was manufactured by OAZ for GUKOS and configured with a 3-Axis stabilization system. The spacecraft measures 4 meters in length, has a diameter of 1.5 meters, and spans 7.8 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. Its dry mass is approximately 1200 kg, and it had an initial launch mass of 1300 kg. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation, the satellite was designed to operate for about three years as part of the GLONASS navigation system. The satellites shape consists of a cylindrical body with antennas and two panels. It is part of the Uragan bus series and its payload is designated as Uragan No. 19L.
