The COSMOS 1555 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1555, is a navigation satellite launched on May 19, 1984, from the TYMSC site using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. It was manufactured by OAZ and operated under GUKOS ownership. The spacecraft measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 7.8 meters. Its dry mass is 1,200 kg, and it had a launch mass of 1,300 kg. Equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power, the satellite features a 3-axis stabilized configuration. The payload consists of Uragan No. 17L, part of the Uragan bus series. Its mission lasted approximately three years, aimed at navigation purposes.
