The satellite COSMOS 1520 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1520, was launched on December 29, 1983, from the Tyuratam Space Center using a Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle from Launch Pad LC200/40. The spacecraft is part of the Uragan series and has a configuration that is 3-axis stabilized. It was manufactured by OAZ for GUKOS with the purpose of navigation, carrying the payload Uragan No. 15L.
