COSMOS 1519 [GLONASS], also known as Kosmos-1519, is a navigation satellite launched on December 29, 1983, by the former Soviet Union (SU). It was part of the Uragan series and operated for three years. The spacecraft has a length of 4 meters, diameter of 1.5 meters, and span of 7.8 meters. Its dry mass is 1200 kilograms, with a launch mass of 1300 kilograms. Equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply, COSMOS 1519 was launched from the TYSMC LC200/40 pad using the Proton-K/DM-2 launch vehicle. The satellites purpose is navigation and it carries Uragan No. 14L as its payload. It was manufactured by OAZ for GUKOS, the owner of the mission.
